Media WorkSpace:

Media WorkSpace has been dramatically enhanced since its initial 6.5 release. The Image

Management feature set has been augmented to provide a friendly lightweight alternative to the

WDK‑based Digital Asset Manager. Media WorkSpace follows the design model for the next

generation of Interactive Content clients and is built using DFS web services with lightweight

FLEX‑based user interface components.

The following features are available in Media WorkSpace 6.5 SP2:

• Rapid preview and management support for images, documents, videos, and audio Alert

• Advanced search with specialized input screens

• Collaborative comments and ratings

• Routing and ad‑hoc task assignments

Records Manager for 6.5 SP2

Records Manager Commonwealth Edition (RMCE) features have been added into the Records Manager 6.5 SP2 release. RMCE was developed to meet RM requirements of Australian State and Federal Governments and other organizations. RMCE is Based on policies of National Archives of Australia (NAA) and is closely related to ISO 15489, VERS, and Moreq. RMCE was designed and developed by EMC Global Services in Australia. Its support and development is also currently performed by EMC Global Services. The Compliance Product Business Unit has integrated functionality into RMA releases. RMCE features within the Records Manager product consists of the following features:

• Classification Schemes

• Files and File Parts (volumes)

• Series numbering and titles

• Records containers (electronic, physical, hybrid)

• Sentence on creation

• Basic Physical Object Modeling

• Basic import capability
